Mentor others, lead by example, suggest new things and build prototypes for show and tell. All that is actually the growth path for good senior software engineers, not becoming a middle manager creating Excel sheets.

Well do it, but don’t just copy. Improve the idea and great something better. And then very early share it. You might get lucky.
