the assumption here is that someone replicating your work is or should be treated as a bad thing. that the only reason people come up with new ideas and do the work to make them real is so they can monetize them or turn into a line on their cv. its a zero sum capitalist rat race mindset where everything you do needs a direct personal benefit for you, ideally an exclusive one. of course its wrong to take others ideas and claim them as your own like all the corporations and vibe coding influencers do. but the only way to beat them is to reject that zero sum framework and put your work out there hoping it makes someone else life better at least a bit even if you dont get credit. because theres always some good people around who will give you the credit and recognition and maybe some of the money you deserve. community is the answer and it always has been.
