alt Hacker NewsFrom what I can tell, it looks like they posted the entire spec. What's to stop someone from reproducing the signal on an alternate frequency? As far as I know, you can't rebroadcast the original, but if the original is gone, then it's not really rebroadcasting...
This is a project I have seen a number of times, where people make a low power transmitter to set their WWVB wall clocks and watches which don't get a reliable signal.
