alt Hacker NewsTrue ... my company recently started deploying endpoint protection like crowdstrike, beyondtrust, zscalet onto our macs and these have slowed my machine considerably. They somehow spike the CPU just when I am doing something important.

Those are basically spyware hooked to every system call.
I cannot believe how ridiculously heavy this stuff is. On my corporate laptop with a modern i7 and 32GB RAM (running Windows plus Crowdstrike, Zscaler, and probably some other junk), it feels like I’m on a netbook. It’s awful.
