I get why they're doing this, and nobody here is proposing something better. But that doesn't mean I'll do it. Would rather just not use the website. That's not an option for them, but it's an option for me.

Would also accept having to pay a small amount of cryptocurrency to use a site/service, but that's only suitable for DDoS or mass bot protection, not proof of being human.
