That only lasts as long as your browser history. For example, Chrome only holds your history locally for 90 days.

What, that would be silly no? I daily drive Firefox, just Chrome for testing stuff, and Firefox remembers websites I visited years ago, I think I'd almost consider the browser useless if it forgets addresses after just 90 days.
