Really surprising that Inverness and Skye have only 16 pubs considering how much tourism the area has. I felt like it wasn't lacking for pubs but maybe I saw all 16...
I was in Inverness a few weeks ago, seems like the tourist season is on, and it was fairly hard to find a pub other than downtown. The other interesting thing is that a lot of them don't seem to not go by the advertised opening times, which later on made total sense based on what an old man told me about the Highlands having their own time.
There were about as many golf courses as pubs when I went through there - but that was a while back.
A good third of the pubs are missing in my town tbh and they're definitely still open.
