But I don’t think you get obesity just by eating sugar, you get diabetes. Obesity depends on other factors and eating habits doesn’t it?

Your claim was: "Sugar is much more addictive and harmful than alcohol". I have no objection to the claim that obesity claims more lives than alcohol in the US.
