There are some inland sand dunes near Christmas Valley as well.
And if you're visiting the area, absolutely stop at Summer Lake Hot Springs, which is just a few miles outside of Paisley. They have natural geothermal hot springs, which combined with the pitch black sky out there, makes for some incredible late night soaks under the stars.
