I updated to yt-dlp nightly and that fixed it for me, was a few days back now so idk if there's been further disruption:
yt-dlp --update-to nightly
Are you asking if youtube having different formats is making yt-dlp break? If that's your question, the answer is no. If you're asking something else, please explain the question better.
