Because you made that up. Hamas (and a few Palestinian civilians who decided to join in the fun) started a war by running round murdering and raping Israeli citizens. Hamas also recruits child soldiers. Hamas also openly and quite preferably launches attacks from schools and hospitals. Hamas openly and continually attacks Israeli citizens with rockets.
Because it's the kind of terrorism the king^H^H^H^Hpresident agrees with, and he makes the rules.
