Because others like to be contrarian?

Because not everyone is motivated by being paid?

Maybe, just maybe, people are different and have differing motivations not easily reduced into being "am I getting paid for this or not."

Because caring about factual accuracy isn’t “defending a corporation.” A claim doesn’t become true (or false!) just because it concerns a "billion dollar corporation".

Besides, Apple isn't a "billion dollar corporation", it's a multi-trillion dollar corporation.

Why would anyone attack a billion dollar corporation so vehemently and not earn a single dime? Billion dollar companies also hire hundreds of thousands of employees, paying them a lot. They create products that millions enjoy.

I am surprised this take is controversial. It really seems almost certain whenever enough money is involved in controlling narratives and selling things, regardless of the details.

Certainly employees at these companies are earning more than a single dime, so even if innocent there's still an obvious conflict of interest. That doesn't mean the posters are wrong or their opinions invalid, on the contrary their direct experience is valuable to hear.

But they are certainly paid, and this is fair to remember when reading opinions.
