The biggest thing people seem to be up in arms over is the disk space. I don’t see any of the suggestions on that page freeing the disk space back up, please correct me if I’m wrong.

On previous versions, there was a single "Apple Intelligence" toggle that turned off all of these features. This support doc describes ~10 separate settings, and still doesn't provide any way to turn off certain AI features (e.g. Genmoji).

Having to turn multiple toggles to express the lack of consent is one thing.

However, having to redo it on every system upgrade is another thing. "No" should mean "no", but now the expectation is that you need to constantly shout "No no no no no no" otherwise your previous "no" will turn into "yes".

The speed with which we went from pearl clutching that Apple hasn't added as many AI features as Google and Microsoft have to pearl clutching that they have finally done so is amusing.

Meanwhile, Google just announced "laptops" that are locked down to the Play Store, and the sound of crickets is palpable.
