[1] And one of those same companies in my comment [2] uses an old ordering system that is still in DOS and they boot up a VM to use it. They still have a printing machine ( not a normal printer ) for those order printing connected via a Parallel Port. I don't know the details of how that works though.
And by the end of all that, the order will be Faxed. Manually.
Did they tried to email it or automate it. Hell yes. Did it work? No.
