alt Hacker NewsGoogle is doing everything they can to slowly remove those work arounds.
I listed my reasons for IOS. It’s ultimately just a much better user experience. You just have to give up on writing your own code to run on it.

Or just pay Apple their $100/yr, turn on developer mode, and get back to writing your own code to run on iOS.
As someone who has been using iOS for a year and a half, the UX is much worse IMO.
The extra steps android is adding are annoying, but you can still run your own code easily and others' code with a few steps
