alt Hacker NewsLogan Kilpatrick announced [0] that training for Gemini 4 started towards the end of July. I'm surprised they could finalize a frontier level model within 2 months.
If an entire model training can be completed in 2 months there is really no moat for any company in this space now.
The difficult part is not the training, it’s acquiring the data. Google started that a long time ago :)
