I knew a guy who was an EMT (or maybe a paramedic). He drank hard. Would give himself an IV to get over the hangover. He eventually enlisted to be a Marine medic. Absolute madlad.

I have a lot of respect for EMTs and I’m grateful for all of them, but the pay is (comparatively) low, the stress is high and you’re pretty much guaranteed to burnout.
