alt Hacker NewsHow well do you think this would work on stock photography on m1 mac with 32GB ram? For example I'd like to be able to search a folder of ~2k photos for houses with palm trees. Or find photos of kitchens, or find photos of desert southwest landscapes.

Apple Photos can already search photos with natural language using on-device AI. Is it not working well for you?

YES! I can confirm it works perfectly on M1/M2/M3 machines (16g/64g).
