While I am too ignorant to have an opinion about whether AI is a good idea, I do think that ungating relatively safe medications from needing an MD's prescription is a good idea.
You don't have to go to medical school to know what bad acne looks like, or how to treat a UTI. We should be working on tiering prescriptions based on ease of diagnosis and risk.
