Searching for a book.

This is a long shot but I used to have a book I bought from CPS, Nobel Elementary book sale to be exact. It was a series of stories that left an impact on me. The two stories I remember the most: one, of a kid shaving with his dad and learning to whistle; two, of aliens coming to earth and thinking cars are bugs. I don't remember the contents of the stories much, but I loved the artwork. I've gone down rabbit holes and I've looked at book collections like "Impressions By William K. Durr 1978 Houghton Mifflin Hardcover" and the like but no dice. I believe it also has a story of 3 goats. Anyway, if anyone knows, would appreciate the KT.

I bought it in 1st grade so it was for little kids. It was a textbook for sure because I remember the name list behind the cover and wondering why it was never used. I read it over and over again for years.
