Anytime where someone thinks the solution to a problem is taking away choices from another group it's time to be very very suspicious to say the least.

This isn’t historically true. Women used to work outside the home, it’s a relatively recent phenomenon that the nuclear family with a stay at home mother was the norm. So the basis of your argument is false
