It even spills on family members because they're afraid of upsetting their current doctors will cause lower standard of care, and iirc their doctors did complain about me asking for data to get a 2nd opinion.
Doctors just have absolutely massive egos, because they suffered though a lot of staying up through the night during residency and difficult exams and whatnot and they also are king of their fiefdom now, and how dare you question their authority over life and death. Not all are like this, but many many.
