alt Hacker News... and don't take the vendor's word for it. I got burned on a GL-SFT1200 that way. It runs their version of OpenWRT. You can't install generic OpenWRT.

Yes, one has to be very careful selecting the device to use with openwrt. But my experience has been generally good.
