Unless this is satire, have you not considered how many proles have been laid off because they were replaced by technology or told that a spreadsheet model had decided their job was superfluous? Capitalism has been using technology to fond new ways to enrich itself for the whole age of personal computing, and arguably long before. Those Andreesen Horowitz comments about 'software eating the world' may have been exciting to people working at startups, but came off as rather sinister to people who were in the world outside softwareand just wanted to build a modest but comfortable life rather than develop unicorns and cash out.
