The question is whether this uniqueness is going to be persistent. I think the uniqueness just makes software first. The alternate theory is that software will stay unique and that other fields won't get to the same level.
Third possibility: software continues "eating the world" because of those properties and because it's so amenable to AI. So other fields just get gradually subsumed into computing, sort of like how Lean is turning pure mathematics into software rather than humanities-style written arguments.
