alt Hacker NewsVoting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. The good people simply aren't attracted to power or acting as representatives. The good people don't step forward to try and move the levers of the system, because when they do they learn very very quickly that they're not up to "playing the game". Because they usually aren't sociopaths.

And mindful people know that by defeating the dragon you become the dragon, which they do not wish. So everyone else is stuck with the old dragon.
Voting is not a thing God created and said you must never vote for evil. Voting is just a thing you can do that has outcomes. Sometimes voting one way results in a better expected outcome than voting the other way or not voting. In these cases you should do it.
