alt Hacker NewsStackOverflow is great if your question is "How would we have done X back in 2012?" Because you can't re-ask or re-answer questions that have had their correct answers change as technology changed. So the sites is stuck back in time when each question was first answered.

Sure you can. (But it is a significant problem that they start at the bottom of the score-based answer sort and don’t get attention.)
