Just the benefit of driving AWD is enough for me. It's hard to go back...
It is easy. I drove for several years a car with permanent AWD (Audi A6 Quattro), then moved to one that can switch between front drive and AWD. I don't remember the last time I switched to AWD (mileage is better if I leave it on front drive only).
