Yeah, seriously. AI has been the single biggest technological improvement to my life in the last 20 years. If I could choose between smartphones and AI, I'll take AI any time of the day. Smartphones (in combination with social media) had a worse impact on society than AI has had and are not worth their advantages to me.

The people in wall-e were in AI heaven.
