These certs only exist for compliance, not for security. Nobody cares they don't add any extra value, because they allow every business to say "my supplier was ISO certified, so I did my due diligence".
And nobody really ever gets prosecuted for lying during their audit.
It seems like you've never tried to get it. ISO27001 is a security certification. You will not pass the independent audit if you're bad at security. You will not be recertified if you're bad at security. You can say this for other, non-prescriptive certs, but not ISO27001.
