My biggest improvement lately was a cloud vm. I start it when I start working and shut it down when nothing is running which makes it fairly cheap.

On there i run claude code and codex via ssh and zed‘s ssh connection feature to take a look at the code where necessary.

I map a range of ports so I can take a look at previews.

Agents just continue running when I close the lid.
