I had a fun day at the office pointing out that using an AI to edit the lighting in photos of an event also had it do creative things like make the speaker smile bigger and remove her wedding band and also make the eyes of the C-suite listening more open.
A few repeats of the same initial light adjustment and she had a big joker grin and the CEO had giant anime eyes and looked 25 years younger.
Now, if we were to do this first "fix the light" pass on every publicity photo, what would it be adding and taking away without our knowledge? I fundamentally don't like using a tool that will do other things than what I want it to do, without even warning me. The consequences of a noticeable fuckup will be on me, not on the machine, so I'd rather adjust the slider myself thank you.
