Most of the things school curricula touch turn awful.
It's never been easier for you and interested kids to learn these things on their own.
I know them now, the questions were rhetorical.
I agree that school curricula is often bad. I disagree that we should just accept it as hopeless and not hope it could get better.
Yet the end result appears that people on their own accord go and "learn" things like vaccines are bad, fluoridated water is used for mind control, rectal enemas can cure bowel cancer, and that the moon landings were fake.
At least the education system enforces some baseline level of standards
The vast majority of people vastly overestimate how well they learn things without the feedback of formal education.
Easier on its own is therefore effectively meaningless when people aren’t actually learning beyond the most superficial layers.
