I might buy one of these for remote family tech support. "Hey $relative, plug the remote support box into the USB port of the computer you're having trouble with so I can take a look"
I would suggest gl.inet Comet Q. It only uses a single USB-C cable to do everything (wifi only of course, and it does need a USB-C port that can transfer DisplayPort in alternative mode). It also has tailscale.
