Most people hate writing HTML by hand. That's why we got lightweight markup languages like Markdown, Asciidoc, reST, etc.

I have the impression that an HTML -> epub workflow mostly consists of making a zipfile?
Many people will prefer Markdown or Commonmark for markup.
Isn't the HTML->ePub workflow called zip?
